We seek a kind and compassionate teacher to join our wonderful team. The successful candidate will have the expertise and determination to lead our second classroom in our new additionally resourced SEND provision.
The ARMS unit will eventually serve 12 children with moderate learning difficulties in our purpose designed unit within the school. The successful candidate will be pivotal in contributing to the design of our new provision including curriculum design, resourcing and assessment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This job description should be read alongside the range of duties and responsibilities of Teachers as set out in the annual Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. Candidates will be expected to have considered these in relation to the above post.
Purpose of Post:
- To contribute to the provision of high quality Learning, Teaching and Assessment at the school, ensuring maximum success for all learners with SEND;
- To be a role model for the school community and raise levels of pupil achievement;
- To model positivity, passion and to share the school’s vision and ethos;
- To support the school culture that is utterly committed to high expectations and “learning without limits”.
- To carry out the professional duties of a Teacher under the Teacher’s Contract (as defined in the most recent School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document), ensuring the education and welfare of a class/group of pupils having due regard to the school’s aims, values and curriculum;
- To work closely with the ARMS Lead, year group teachers and senior leaders to plan focussed and targeted intervention and support to accelerate the progress of high needs pupils with EHCPs;
- To share in the corporate responsibility for the safeguarding, well-being and behaviour of all pupils.
Qualifications:
- A good Honours Degree
- QTS
- Evidence of ongoing CPD with particular reference to Special Educational Needs (SEN)

- Create a low distraction, calming, structured environment for high needs pupils
- Understand the wide range of SEND needs and how to effectively plan for and manage these within the setting
