About the Role: We are looking for an inspiring English teacher to teach across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher to contribute to a thriving English department at a prestigious independent school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English Literature and English Language to students in Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (GCSE and A-Level)
- Deliver engaging, creative, and effective lessons that inspire a love of English
- Contribute to the development of the English curriculum to ensure it remains relevant and inspiring
- Support and mentor students in achieving academic success, fostering their critical thinking and writing skills
- Participate in extracurricular activities and pastoral care to help students grow both academically and personally
About You:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a degree in English or a related subject.
- A passion for teaching English and the ability to inspire students at all levels
- Experience teaching GCSE English and A-Level English is desirable, but applications from NQTs are also welcome
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player
- An interest in contributing to the school’s values and community ethos
