Behaviour Intervention Manager for Internal Exclusion

 

Salary: £100+ per day

Contract: 35 hours a week, Term Time only, Full Time

Start: ASAP

You will maintain appropriate standards of pupil behaviour in the Internal Exclusion Room in accordance with Academy policy. Additionally, you will ensure that the Internal Exclusion Room procedures are adhered to and the environment is maintained to a good standard.

Key Responsibilities

The Behaviour Intervention Manager for Internal Exclusion will:

  • To ensure that pupils within the Internal Exclusion Room continue to learn effectively by following the programme of work and completing that work in accordance with their learning and progress.
  • To arrange for resources to support learning and oversee the appropriate use of learning resources and ICT.
  • To assist with after school catch up supervision and detentions by the running of the detention and study support provision in the Academy.
  • To plan an exit strategy and monitor identified pupils following their return to classes from the exclusion room.
  • To maintain the behaviour management monitoring of each pupil on SIMS and provide individual reports when requested.
  • To contribute to the implementation and monitoring of behaviour management systems to ensure that effective learning can take place and barriers to learning are removed.
  • To maintain records of all meetings and intervention programmes (including keeping accurate records of attendance, the impact of interventions and records of contact with families and professionals) on the Academy’s behaviour management systems.
  • To contact parents and carers or members of the public in relation to student behaviour, both in school and the wider community as required.
  • To participate in planned activities, such as open mornings, welcome evening, parents’ evening and other such events.
