SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton – ASAP start

 

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

School: Primary

Pay rate: £90-100 per day

Start date: ASAP

Location: Merton

Contract: Short-term/daily supply

 

We are working with a Primary School in Merton who is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who can provide high quality support, care and creative learning opportunities for pupils with SEN, within a safe and supportive environment, assist the Class Teacher in the day-to-day classroom routines and preparation and take responsibility for the organisation, safety and welfare of any pupil or group of pupils allocated to work in your care.

 

We are looking for short-term/daily supply candidates who are flexible and committed and are also open to long-term opportunities!

Experience

  • Experience of working in an inclusive environment
  • Willingness to learn new methods of teaching children with autism
  • Experience of working with children with special education needs
  • Experience of working as a teaching assistant with children with SEN or in Early Years
  • Knowledge of First Aid
  • Experience of supporting children with complex behaviour

 

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths
  • Good verbal, written and communication skills to GCSE “C” grade or equivalent
  • Numeracy skills at the same level or higher
  • NVQ Level 2/3 within the field – degree is desirable!
