Job Overview
We are looking for a qualified, experienced and excellent teacher to join us as Lead Practitioner of English.

The Lead Practitioner role will allow you to have a significant impact on our Secondary Academy and support you develop in your career.
We are looking to appoint a Lead Practitioner of English to join our growing leadership team. We are looking for an exceptional classroom teacher with a proven record of achieving excellent outcomes for young people. We are looking for someone who has the highest standards of themselves and of others and is an inspirational leader of other people.
The core purpose of all members of staff is to be a strong role model to staff, as well as to improve achievement and attainment for all groups of students.
As one of the key leaders in the school, you will need to be able to build respect and trust so that you can develop strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff. As a strong leader, you will be able to think hard before contributing ideas to support continuous improvement and then be able to implement that improvement in the department(s) that you support. You will be able to strike the right balance between offering effective support to those you lead as well as rigorous challenge and accountability.
Areas of Responsibility
You will play a leading and highly visible role in the improvement of teaching and learning and academic success of all students in English. You will help ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and achievement in the department. You will be involved in monitoring, evaluation, and review of standards and provisions in the English department.
