A brilliant Secondary School in the Borough of Islington is looking to recruit SEND Learning Assistants for an ASAP start.  

As a SEND Learning Assistant, you will be working 1:1 or 2:1 both in and out of a classroom with children with behavioural challenges (SEMH). This will include children diagnosed with ADHD and Autism, as well as children with mild learning disabilities.   

The Head Teacher is looking for a SEND Learning Assistant, experienced in behaviour management, who can commit to the full academic year and a naturally calm personality to be able to handle stressful situations with care and efficiency. You’ll be supporting the children mentally to make the most out of their educational needs.

Job Description – SEND Learning Assistant: 

• SEND Learning Assistant 

• Working in either KS3 or KS4 

• Supporting children with a range of SEN needs 

• Working with children with ADHD, Autism / ASD or Dyslexia 

• ASAP 2025 Start 

• Long Term & Full Time 

• £90 - £100 per day + weekly pay 

• Located in the London Borough of Islington  

Ideal Candidate – SEND Learning Assistant: 

• Great academics – degree, A levels and GCSEs 

• Good understanding of SEN is required 

• Experience in a previous role, or personal experience with SEN would be ideal 

• Passionate about supporting children with SEN 

• Calm and compassionate nature 

• You MUST be able to commit until at least July 2025
