School Finance Officer – About the role:

Clarus Education are delighted to be able to advertise on behalf of one of our partnership schools – an Ofsted Outstanding School and one of the leading schools nationally!  We seek an experienced and reliable School Finance Officer to provide support to the School Business Manager in maintaining effective financial control.

School Finance Officer- Job specification:

• Full Time School Finance Officer required for immediate ASAP start
• Salary between £28K- £30k
• Knowledge of FMS (Financial Management Systems) essential 
• PERFECT for an aspiring Accountant or Finance Manager
• Experience working in a similar role previously
• Good academics including degree, A level and GCSEs
• High level of honesty & integrity

School Finance Officer- Role & Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of departmental capitation expenditure records, and distribution to departments on a regular basis
• Responsibility for inputting invoices onto FMS and processing BACS payment runs
• Assistance ensuring entries are entered promptly for bank reconciliation on a bi- weekly basis
• Liaising with suppliers to resolve any invoice queries and disputes
• Receiving time sheets and expense claims on a monthly basis
• Assistance at month end by collating data on accruals/prepayments/accrued income and deferred income
• Maintenance of accounts filing system, suitable for auditing purposes
