The Head Teacher of a brilliant school in Islington is looking to recruit Primary SEN Teaching Assistants to work with the students who have additional needs, such as Autism, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, and more. 

The role will involve working on a 1:1 and small group basis and helping the students to be fully included within the classroom, as well as promoting a fun learning environment. 

You will have the opportunity to shadow professionals such as Therapists and the SENCO, as well as the chance to be enrolled in a Schools Direct scheme following a successful year as an SEN Teaching Assistant!

Person Specification – Primary SEN Teaching Assistant 

  • Hold a degree from a reputable University (preferably Psychology / Sociology) 
  • Ideally have experience working with children 
  • Ambitious and hard working 
  • Able to commit to the academic year 
  • Knowledge of SEN desirable
