Early Years SEN TA – Camden Primary School – ASAP 2024  

 

Due to an increase in our SEN cohort within Early Years, and additional funding provided by the local authority, our Camden Primary School are looking to appoint an Early Years SEN TA to support pupils across our Early Years and Foundation Stage 

We are seeking an experienced individual who is passionate about providing all children with an inclusive education, especially children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). 

What we can offer you: 

  • Full time and long term (at least the academic year) 
  • £85 - £100 per day 
  • Inner London location - Camden Primary School 
  • ASAP 2024 start 

 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning 
  • Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of, and responding appropriately to, individual needs 
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils 
  • Provide tailored interventions to meet the specific needs of pupils  
  • Organise and run physical and mental wellbeing activities  
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher both in class and the playground 
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, 

 

What we are looking for in Early Years SEN TA: 

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) 
  • The ability to speak appropriately to children of all ages 
  • The ability to deal objectively with children in challenging situations 
  • The ability to work as a team member 
  • Working with children with SEN 
  • Working as a member of a team 
  • Level 3 CACHE (or equivalent) qualification in SEN based teaching support 
  • A good level of literacy and numeracy skills with at least English, Maths and science qualifications at GCSE grade C, NVQ level 3 or equivalent. 
  • Work based training relating to supporting pupils with specific Special Educational Needs 
  • Experience of working with pupils with a diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD.
