Contract: Full-time, fixed term contract, January – December 2025 

Start date: January 2025 

Salary: MPS daily rate equivalent MPS 3 – UPS 3 (£38,766 - £53,994) 

An OUTSTANDING Primary School in the Inner London borough of Islington is looking to recruit a talented Key Stage 1 Teacher for a full-time, fixed term maternity cover contract for 1 year from January 2025. 

The ideal candidate for this Key Stage 1 Teacher opportunity will be a practitioner who can provide a stimulating class environment, plan effective lessons that generate curiosity, respond to pupils’ learning, provide appropriate resources and teach successfully in all areas of the Primary Curriculum.

Applicants MUST be a qualified Teacher and hold UK QTS!

The successful candidate for this Key Stage 2 Teacher position will:  

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree 

• Have a minimum of one year's teaching experience 

• Have proven success in raising achievement 

• Have a proven ability to identify and implement strategies to raise standards of Teaching and Learning 

• Be committed to continually improving classroom practice and raising attainment 

• Manage behaviour effectively to create a positive, calm and purposeful learning environment
