Secondary Teacher

Salary: Inner London MPS1 £38,766 – MPS6 £50,288 + SEN Allowance
Full-time, Permanent | Start Date: January 2025

 

Our SEN school is seeking a dynamic and innovative Secondary Teacher to join our expanding team, teaching Maths and Science.

 

Our Key Stage 4 Autism provision is a specialist school designed to support students with autism in a calm and nurturing environment.

 

Secondary Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Teach both Maths and Science to secondary students, including GCSE-level Maths.
  • Deliver BTEC and Functional Skills qualifications.
  • Create engaging lessons that meet the needs of students with autism, using a flexible and creative approach.
  • Use positive behaviour strategies to support students' independence, safety, and resilience.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to support student progress and well-being.

 

Secondary Teacher - About You:

We are looking for a secondary teacher who:

  • Has experience teaching Maths GCSE and a passion for Science, with a willingness to undertake further training.
  • Is positive, adaptable, and forward-thinking, with a passion for inspiring students.
  • Has a successful track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Can respond to challenging behaviour with resilience, using sensitive and positive approaches.

 

Secondary Teacher - Our School:

Our specialist school opened in 2017, beginning with Primary provision, which expanded to Key Stage 4 by 2023. We offer a tailored curriculum for students with autism, focusing on key areas of the National Curriculum alongside our core bespoke curriculum.
