English Teacher – SEN School – Barnet
Are you a SEN Teacher with the ability to teach GCSE and A -Level English for Secondary School children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational English Teacher, who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable students.
Please note, this role is not suitable for TEFL / CELTA qualified candidates. Applicants MUST have completed their teacher training (PGCE or Schools Direct) and have a secure understanding of the UK English National Curriculum.

SEN English Teacher – The Role:
The role will see the successful English Teacher working alongside an established, welcoming, and supportive SLT and an excellent multidisciplinary team of SEN therapists. Working collaboratively to ensure the students receive the high standard of education and development they deserve.
SEN English Teacher – The Person:
The English Teacher will be an enthusiastic Teacher of English and will have previous experience of being a SEN English Teacher, even during their PGCE placements.

We are an Independent Special Needs school catering to pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other complex needs. All of our students have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and are placed by various local authorities. Many of our pupils have had significantly disrupted educational journeys.
Our approach is grounded in the principles of Attachment Theory, and we operate within a small school model to ensure that each student is deeply understood and actively involved in their own education.
