Our PE department

Our Physical Education department has transformed student outcomes in recent years and created a “buzz”

around Physical Education through the relentless energy of staff, its forward-thinking approach to the curriculum,

and an outstanding extra-curricular provision that takes advantage of our London connections.

Our PE curriculum

The PE department is committed to fostering the development of students' skills, techniques, and knowledge, while actively promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. Our goal is to build on students' prior achievements to enhance their breadth and depth of understanding in both theory and practice. Additionally, students demonstrate outstanding progress in the BTEC Tech Award, with our Key Stage 4 cohorts benefitting from our innovative approach to the updated BTEC curriculum. At Key Stage 5, we offer the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, as part of our highly regarded International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP). To further enhance learning, the Academy integrates technology, with students using Chromebooks to complete homework, engage in extended learning beyond the curriculum, and complete assessment tasks during theoretical and sport-related studies.

  • An outstanding classroom and practical teacher who is committed to the success and progress of each individual student
  • Experienced in teaching relevant subject(s) with a relevant university degree
