Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Lewisham

Job Type: Full-Time hours

Salary: Competitive, based on experience £85 - £100 per day

Job Duties:

• Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in their educational and personal development
• Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons according to individual student needs
• Providing one-on-one support to students with SEND to help them access the curriculum
• Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Collaborating with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists, to support student progress
• Working with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Challenging Behaviour, Complex needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or degree (desirable)
• Experience working with students with SEND

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of the education system and SEND regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed

Working Conditions:

• Work in a school setting, supporting students with SEND
• Full-time hours, following the school term calendar
• Collaborative work with teachers, parents, and external professionals
