Our Primary school is a culturally rich community set within attractive grounds and close to mainline and tube stations.

We are a popular and forward thinking inclusive mainstream school – we are the only primary school in central London with a Specialist Resource Base for children with a Visual Impairment, and in March 2024 we opened our second SRP for children with ASD.

Teaching and Learning Responsibilities:

• Support the vision, ethos and policies of the school which secure effective teaching, successful learning and promote high levels of achievement and selfesteem for all pupils irrespective of background, ethnicity, gender or disability;
• Plan, deliver, assess, record and report in line with school policy documents and schemes of work.
• Raise standards of individual pupil achievement and ensure that at least good attainment is maintained by providing a model of high quality teaching;
• Set pupils high standards in the content and presentation of their work through the quality of displays;
• Set and maintain effective classroom learning environments;

Criteria:

• Qualified Teachers Status
• Good Degree
• Successful experience of teaching within the Early Years age range.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
• High expectations of pupil achievement and a range of strategies to raise expectations and success.
• A thorough understanding of good practice in relation to monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting.
• Good understanding of the principles and practices related to the teaching of children with SEND, EAL and G+T.
