Primary Teaching Assistant – Kingston – ASAP – Permanent

Role: Primary Teaching Assistant

Phase: Primary

Pay: £90-110 per day - DOE

Contract: Long-term, 08:30-15:30, Monday-Friday – Term-Time only

Location: Kingston-Upon-Thames, SW London

Start date: ASAP

Our Primary School is looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant to:

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of a NVQ 2 or equivalent (C+ GCSE) in English and Maths
  • Level 3 Qualified TAs/Eys Practitioners or Graduate TAs – desirable
  • Be willing to undertake additional training
  • Undertaken safeguarding training – desirable
  • 1+ years school classroom-based experience
  • Experience working as part of an effective team
  • Experience working as a Teaching & Learning Support Assistant
  • Experience with pupils with SEND
  • Experience with working on a one-to-one basis with pupils.
  • Knowledge of the Primary Curriculum
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering phonics and maths interventions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident in using ICT to support learning
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent time management skills
  • The ability to work with pupils in a professional manner
  • The ability to be proactive in seeking solutions
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality
