Salary Scale – MPS1 – UPS3

You will be teaching years 7-11 and also encouraged to deliver extracurricular activities. Enthusiasm in the subject, overall teaching expertise and professionalism are vital so as to inspire the students’ thirst for learning.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent 
• QTS (the school will consider ECTs)

Knowledge, understanding and skills

• Experience of teaching KS3 and GCSE
• High expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge all pupil
• Well-structured curriculum planning and good subject management
• Evidence of outstanding outcomes for pupils taught
• Evidence of exemplary teaching
• Excellent classroom management and IT skills
• The ability to inspire and be a role model to students
• Knowledge of a range of approaches to cater for different learner needs
• Knowledge of effective behaviour management
• Knowledge and understanding of SEND
• Knowledge of current national education policies
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures
• Willingness to be involved in the wider life of the school community
