Primary Teaching Assistants – Graduate TAs – Wandsworth – May 2024 Start

We require Primary Teaching Assistants, who are confident to work with students with various needs and require a mixture of 1:1, small group and general classroom support.

35 hours per week, Term time only + 5 training days (39 weeks)

Working hours: 8.15am – 4:00 pm Mon-Fri

Salary information: £85 - £100 per day

Start Date:  ASAP

Location: Wandsworth

Due to our expanding opportunities and the changing needs of our students within our schools, an opportunity has arisen for a number of Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team of staff.  We are particularly interested in people who have experience of working with young people with ASD and ADHD.

We are keen to recruit Psychology and Childhood Studies Graduates, who have ambition and passion towards supporting pupils aged between 3-11 years, within a Primary School in Wandsworth.  

Applicants should have:

• A sound knowledge of Literacy and Numeracy
• A good educational background (CACHE L3 or above such as a degree) – ideally Psychology, Education and Childhood related degrees
• A desire for with working with students with SEN & SEMH needs
• Previous SEN experience is desirable although consideration will be given to applicants with relevant skills
• Good communication skills
• Enthusiasm for supporting children and their learning
• The ability to work well on your own and as part of a team
• A positive attitude and sense of humour
• A willingness to learn new skills
• A willingness to undertake personal care of pupils
• The successful applicant must have a high standard of written and spoken English
