SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism (ASD) & Behaviour Focus – Long-term – September 2024-July 2025

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant with an interest in Special Educational Needs (SEN) who is searching for a role which is both challenging and rewarding in equal measures. 

 

This SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity is for an September 2024 start, that will last until the end of the academic year - July 2025. This role will require a committed, and forward-thinking graduate who is keen to make a difference from the get-go.

 

The position will be focused around supporting Primary School children who have been diagnosed with Autism (ASD) and ADHD. The SENCO has shown an interest in Psychology & Sociology graduates who are keen to be challenged daily and gain a better insight into Autism (ASD) & Behaviour difficulties.

  • Assisting the class teacher to deliver the lesson objectives
  • Working alongside a range of professionals

  • £85 - £100 per day

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • You must have a Degree from a reputable University
  • Must have a good understanding of Autism (ASD) & Behaviour Difficulties
  • Previous relevant experience, paid or voluntary, would be of interest
  • You must welcome challenging work, adaptable, caring and be passionate about SEN
  • You must be resilient, adaptable, and willing to embrace new techniques
  • You must be able to commit until at least July 2024
