Salary: Inner London MPS / UPS (£36,745 - £56,959) plus £5000 Head of Department Allowance  

Contract: Full time, Permanent 

Location: London Borough of Islington 

Start Date: September 2024 

We are looking to appoint an inspirational, committed and well-qualified teacher of Geography to lead a thriving and successful department. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE 

• Experience of leading a department 
• Experience in the design of schemes of work 
• Experience of budget-setting and working with budgets 
• Experience in the preparation of pupils for external assessment 
• Experience in operating as part of a collaborative form teacher team 
• A depth of understanding in the relevant subject area 
• Excellent preparation and planning 

• Able to set clear expectations and stretching goals 
• Adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback
