We are actively looking to recruit a talented, ambitious and proven History Teacher, ready and actively looking to take that next step as Head of History.

 

This is a full time and permanent Head of History position, starting September 2024.

 

Applicants looking to apply for this exciting Head of History position MUST be qualified, with UK QTS, have a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching the History curriculum within the UK, ideally within a diverse, inner-city school.

CONTRACT: Permanent & Full Time

SALARY: London MPS / UPS + TLR (£10K+)

WHO ARE THE SCHOOL & SLT LOOKING FOR…

 

  • Head of History
  • Previous management experience ideally required – KS coordinator / 2iC
  • Qualified History Teachers ONLY to apply - UK QTS a MUST
  • Trained via formal, recognised pathway - PGCE, Schools Direct / SCITT or Teach First
  • Experienced History Teacher required – minimum of 3 years (UK curriculum)
  • Ability to teach History across KS3, 4 & 5
  • 1st class or 2:1 History degree
  • Genuine passion & interest for teaching & your subject
  • Ability to lead & develop a talented team of History teachers
  • Teaching practice and approach focused on motivating and inspiring pupils.
  • Confident & able in meeting the teaching standards to a ‘Good or Outstanding’ level
