Autism Support Worker (ASD)

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at an ‘Outstanding’ Primary school located in Ealing to work as an Autism Support Worker (ASD).

 

The Head Teacher is looking to recruit academically gifted Psychology Graduates with the knowledge and experience required to work with SEN pupils. Childcare/SEN experience is essential for this position.

 

As an Autism Support Worker (ASD), you will be offering 1:1 & group support with students that could have mild or severe ASD. You will be supporting the pupil’s in & out of the classroom. Your focus will be to help with the pupil’s overall learning and personal growth where necessary. This could include helping with numeracy, speech & language, behaviour, and mannerisms.

 

This position is suitable for a hardworking and caring individual who has experience working with students that have ASD and would like to progress into an SEN Teaching career.

Job Description – Autism Support Worker (ASD):

  • Autism Support Worker (ASD)
  • Assisting assigned SEN students where appropriate
  • Monitor the pupils’ response to educational activities and provide feedback
  • Provide 1:1 & group support where necessary
  • Full Time – Long Term – ASAP Start
  • £90 per day, weekly pay!

Ideal Candidate - Autism Support Worker (ASD):

  • Must have a degree from a reputable University - 2.1 or above
  • Previous work experience with children with ASD – Essential
  • Strong academic background
  • Confident in your ability to assist students with SEN
  • You must be flexible, proactive, and patient - Commitment to success is essential!
