The Head Teacher of an ‘Outstanding’ Primary School in the Borough of Barnet are looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start.

                                                                                                                                                                            

The Head Teacher is looking for a recent Psychology or Sociology graduate who has a wealth of knowledge/theory and is now keen to put it into practice within an education environment. You will be working across either KS1 or KS2 Supporting a variety of Special Educational Needs from: Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, and Learning Difficulties.

 

You will be provided with support from all staff, given the opportunity for both in & out of house training and the possibility to shadow a range of therapists that visit the Primary School fortnightly.

SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – THE ROLE:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Supporting Autism (ASD/ASC), ADHD, Dyslexia and Behaviour Difficulties
  • Supporting learning and how to communicate with SEN children
  • Working alongside a range of therapists & professionals
  • ASAP Start – Full Time & Long-term
  • £75 - £90 per day
  • Located in the Borough of Barnet

 

SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – THE PERSON:

  • Kind and caring graduate with lots of patience
  • Prior child related experience – ideally with children with SEN
  • Not afraid of a challenge
  • Graduate – 2:1 or above (Psychology or Sociology preferably)

 

SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – THE SCHOOL:

  • Lovely 3 form entry school
  • Short walk from 2 different underground stations
  • Work alongside Therapists (Speech and Language, Occupational and Physio)
  • Supportive Inclusion manager/Assistant Head
  • Continuous training on offer
  • Located in the Borough of Barnet
  • Good Tube Links – Northern Line and National Rail
