Science and Technology Lead Teacher – SEN School – Competitive Permanent Contract - Hillingdon

 

An experienced, creative, and engaging Science and Technology Lead Teacher is currently being sought by a superb special educational needs (SEN) school in Hillingdon.

 

The successful Science and Technology Lead Teacher will demonstrate a true desire for making a tangible difference to the lives of pupils with SEN. This role is a second-tier middle leadership role, and the successful Science and Technology Lead Teacher will have an integral role in developing an innovative curriculum. The successful Science and Technology Lead Teacher will play a prominent part in developing and promoting the school’s vision for learning within the Science and Technology Department.

 

The school has an in-house therapy team including Occupation Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and a Physiotherapist. The school embraces the ethos of supporting this students’ learning by embedding a therapeutic approach to aspects of teaching and learning across the school.

 

Salary Details for the Science and Technology Lead Teacher.

  • £29,915 - £41,136 per annum (includes Outer London Allowance) 
  • + 1 SEN POINT; £2,270 
  • TLR2a; £2,873 (UPS where already suitably qualified and experienced).

The Science and Technology Lead profile.

  • The ability to teach using a Visual, Auditory, Kinaesthetic approach
  • The ability to be a team player 
  • The ability to use a wide range of communication techniques (PECS, Signalong etc)
  • Good organisational skills
  • The ability to differentiate work for a range of learning needs and abilities
  • A highly structured approach to teaching suited to the needs of pupils with ASD
  • A minimum of 3 years UK QTS teaching experience
