Clarus Education are currently looking to recruit an experienced, passionate, and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join a SEMH Secondary PRU in Hillingdon, NW London.


The school are looking to offer the suitable Behaviour Mentor a long-term temporary contract with a September start. There is scope for this contract to become permanent contract if the Behaviour Mentor is successful and the school are impressed with the Behaviour Mentor’s performance.


The school is a Secondary aged Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The school caters for and works with students who have SEMH needs as well as challenging behaviour and ASD. They are a small school in comparison to a mainstream setting, with a capacity of around 50 students, but boast a very good staff to pupil ratio.

Role Description:

  • Behaviour Mentor (SEMH Focus)
  • Strong Behaviour Management
  • Support in and outside of the classroom
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • £75 - £90 per day (dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • On site and local parking available


Person Specification:

  • Experienced with SEMH students in any setting
  • TeamTeach/Approach training is preferred but not essential
  • Passionate and proactive when it comes to working with SEMH or in a PRU
  • Be able to cope with regular abusive language and aggressive behaviour from students
  • Ability to empathise and communicate with SEMH students effectively
  • Role model, great listener, compassionate and dependable
