An ‘Outstanding’ graded Ofsted school located in the London Borough of Brent is looking to appoint 3x 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants for September 2020 starts. These roles are all full time, and long-term roles for the entire academic year.   

The Head Teacher is looking to fill the following 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant posts: 

• 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant– Supporting a girl with Autism (ASD) in Reception 
• 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant– Supporting a boy with Autism (ASD) & ADD in Reception 
• 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant– Supporting a boy with Complex Attachment Needs & Speech and Language Delays in Reception 

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need to be resilient and nurturing to help the student within your care flourish. This opportunity would be ideal for a psychology or sociology graduate looking to gain a FULL ACADEMIC YEAR of hands on experience before going on to Teacher Training or a Master’s degree. 

Due to the severity of the needs, building a strong relationship from the very start will be key to ensuring progress and allowing the child to reach their full potential.

JOB INFORMATION - 1:1 SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT 

• September 2020Start 
• Full-Time – Monday to Friday, term time only
• £70- £75 per day 
• Located in the Borough ofBrent

PERSON SPECIFICATION - 1:1 SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT 

• Degree from a reputable University is desirable
• Must have a genuine passion for supporting SEN, particularly Autism
• Previous hands-on experience is beneficial
• You must be confident, and committed to the role 
• You must be able to work within a large support team
