An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join the team of educational practitioners at one of the highest-performing schools in the country. This ‘Outstanding’ Catholic secondary school is based in Southwark and is seeking to recruit a Science Teacher on a permanent, full-time basis from September 2020.

Job description:

  • Science Teacher
  • Any Science specialism welcome – Physics – Biology - Chemistry
  • Contribute to the school’s vibrant and dynamic learning environment
  • Teaching Key Stages 3-5 (11-18yrs)
  • Working alongside a team of dedicated, talented Science Teachers
  • Opportunity to lead STEM - TLR available for experienced candidates (value TBC)
  • Inner London Payscale – MPS / UPS
  • September 2020 start – permanent contract – full-time position


Person specification:

  • A confident & qualified Science Teacher
  • An understanding and appreciation of the school’s Catholic values
  • Must hold UK QTS – applications open to both experienced & NQTs
  • Graded as a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Science Teacher in lesson observations
  • Achieving good / outstanding across the Teaching Standards
  • Strong academic background: GCSEs, A Levels and Degree (ideally 2:1 or 1st class).
  • Must be able to work effectively independently as well as part of a team
