One of our schools in Wandsworth are on the lookout for people who have either volunteer or placement experience working with young children with Autism (ASD) and are enthusiastic about becoming a Learning support assistant for an academic year.
The school has also pointed out they are looking for passionate people who are motivated in helping young people with Autism though KS1 & KS2
ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Learning support Assistant
- Helping to support students with Autism on a 1:1 basic
- Working alongside the SENCO and reception teacher to develop individual care plans.
- Effectively implement Individual care plans and offering support and development.
- Provide the whole-class general Learning support assistant and assisting reception teachers
- Full time – January start -July 2022 - £75-£85 per day
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Previous experience working with Primary children with Autism (ASD)
- Must be a confident individual and have a knowledge of dealing with young Autist pupils
- Need to be extremely patient, adaptable to ever changing situation and calm natured.
- Show a strong academic history, holding a 2:1 or above.
- Show a passion in helping younger children with Autism.
