EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant – Erdington – ASAP start


A ‘Good’ Primary School in Erdington are looking to recruit an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant. The role of EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant is full time, and long term, with an ASAP start.


As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting a child in Reception with physical disabilities. You will support the child with physical difficulties, and also provide some personal care. The child is cognitively able to join in with all aspects of school life, you will just be providing support to access the physical aspects, particularly moving around the school.


In your role as an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working in a school that sets high expectations for all children and provides them with the challenge, opportunities and support for them to flourish. The school provides children with relevant, purposeful learning opportunities with new, exciting experiences. This is delivered through an engaging, creative curriculum that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop self-esteem through hands-on learning in a creative environment.

  • Working hours 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday - Thursday, 1 pm finish on Fridays
  • £75 - £85 per day + excellent healthcare package
  • Located in Erdington



  • Must have a degree from a reputable University
  • Must have a strong academic background – A levels and GCSEs
  • Experience in a previous role, or personal experience with SEN, would be ideal
  • Willing to support with physical difficulties and personal care for the child
  • Calm and compassionate in nature
  • You must be able to commit until at least July 2022
