Lead SEN Teacher – Autism / ASD – Camden – February 2022


A specialist resource base for children with Autism in the Borough of Camden are looking to recruit a Lead SEN Teacher for a February 2022 start date.


The role of SEN Lead Teacher is initially on a 1 year contract to cover maternity leave, but there is scope for the position to continue on a permanent contract after this. There will also be opportunities for handover before starting the position as SEN Lead Teacher.


The centre is renowned in the borough for its SEN provision, and uses a therapeutic approach with teachers and therapists working closely, including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and a Music Therapist. The centre nurtures every child and ensures a safe and positive learning environment.

  • Must have UK QTS
  • Experienced SEN Teachers only
  • Good understanding of SEN
  • Excellent subject knowledge & ability to differentiate
  • Excellent record of written feedback / performance management
  • Ambitious and driven to succeed
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Calm and compassionate nature
  • Ability to demonstrate patience and sensitivity
