Clarus Education are working with a successful Secondary School, who are seeking a Senior IT Technician to join their team. This is for a full-time, permanent role with an ASAP start.

The school are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hard-working Senior IT Technician to join their Support Team providing a broad range of IT support across the school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a keen individual with solid fundamental knowledge to gain valuable experience in a range of hardware and software systems and services within a busy team.

Job Description – Senior IT Technician

• Senior IT Technician
• Working in Secondary School
• Responsible for the day-to-day direction, supervision, organisation and support of the school’s IT systems and services
• Maintains and operates the school’s audio-visual and multimedia systems
• Maintains detailed schedules, lists, diagrams and documentation for all systems
• Ensures that equipment asset registers are up-to-date and accurate
• Investigates, recommends, procures and implements appropriate technologies and solutions
• Undertakes installation, configuration, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and upgrade of all hardware and software systems
• Salary £30,033 - £35,577 per annum (depending on experience), 35 hours per week
• Permanent role - ASAP start

Ideal Candidate – Senior IT Technician

• A relevant qualification in IT with a focus on hardware, software and systems support at BTEC Level 3 or above (or equivalent) awarded at Merit or above (or equivalent)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• A team player with the ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to use own initiative to priorities tasks
• Ability to work under pressure
• To be able to understand the importance of confidentiality
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills and attend relevant training both on and off the job
• Ability to organise, plan and prioritise time effectively
• Flexibility, adaptability and creativity
