SEMH Teaching Assistant - Secondary SEMH School - Hillingdon 

ROLE: SEMH Teaching Assistant – Secondary SEMH school

PAY: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)

WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4pm

START: ASAP

CONTRACT TYPE: Long term – until at least July 2025

LOCATION: Hillingdon

As a Secondary SEMH in the London borough of Hillingdon, we are looking to recruit a patient and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start.

We are a co-educational Alternative Provision for pupils who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons. We offer places to pupils aged 11 – 16, many of whom have been, or are at risk of, permanent exclusion.

SEMH Teaching Assistant

  • Supporting children with a range of SEMH needs
  • Working in KS3 & KS4
  • Working 1:1 with individual children, and in small groups
  • Liaising with SEN professionals
  • Previous experience working in a similar role, or your own personal experience working with children with SEN / SEMH essential
  • Caring, compassionate and calm nature
  • Patience and passion for supporting children with SEN / SEMH
  • Graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted
