Learning and Behaviour Support Assistant – School - Sutton

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Learning and Behaviour Support Assistant to join our Pastoral team at our school. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of our Learning and Behaviour Manager to maximise pupil outcomes.

Post: Learning and Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: Sutton

Contract Type: Long Term, ASAP Start

Contract Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm

Salary: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)

Post Start Date: ASAP

Job Description – Learning and Behaviour Support Assistant:

  • Learning and Behaviour Support Assistant
  • Working in a dedicated school
  • Supporting children 1-1 and/or small group work
  • ASAP Start
  • Long term contract
  • £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
  • Located in the Borough of Sutton

Person Specification – Learning and Behaviour Support Assistant:

  • Have knowledge of Autism and Behaviour Management
  • Work with children of relevant age with additional needs
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice and aware of relevant legislation
  • Understand principles of child development and learning processes
  • Plan effective actions for pupils at risk of underachieving
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Work constructively as part of a team
  • Be well-organised, self-driven, team-orientated and reflective
  • Willingness to work flexibly in terms of core hours/breaks if required
  • Be optimistic, enthusiastic and committed to working to provide a high-quality teaching and learning environment
  • Behave in a warm and professional manner towards colleagues, students and visitors at all times, and contribute to the positive ethos of the school
