We are looking to appoint an outstanding Music Teacher from September 2024.

We wish to appoint an innovative Music Teacher to join our successful Music Department from September 2024. This is a full-time post working 5 days a week. Please note only candidates with QTS will be shortlisted.

The successful Music Teacher will be a pro-active, flexible, and enthusiastic professional with the innovation and commitment to teach Music. You will be an experienced user of Apple Mac systems and have knowledge and skills in multi-track recording. You will also be an effective classroom teacher with the ability to raise achievement of all students along with the commitment to develop and run weekly extra-curricular activities for students.

You will support extra-curricular activities including a calendar of concerts, assemblies, and public performances.

Music is very successful at our Hammersmith Secondary School with a large uptake at GCSE and A Level students progressing to study Music at university. During the year there is a programme of concerts and assemblies and there is a Music scholarship for 10% of Year 7 applicants each year.

The successful candidate will be joining a very strong Creatives Faculty who enjoy working together to develop a love of learning in our students.

Please note that as a school, we are unable to offer sponsorship at this time for this Music Teacher role. All applicants for Music Teacher must have a Qualified Teacher Status awarded by the British Department of Education.
